Michele Marchetti, born 1980, graduated in architecture from the University of Venice in 2008. Founder of Display.xxx a design office based in Milan.
Co-founder of Salottobuono, he has been partner in the firm from 2007 to 2013 which has been the editor of the section "Istruzioni per l'uso” in Abitare architecture magazine. Since 2008 he has been invited to participate in the Architecture Biennale of Venice; first in the section “L’Italia Cerca Casa – Housing Italy”, then in 2010 - realizing the design exhibition for the Italian Pavilion and in 2013 for the pavilion of Kingdom of Bahrain. While with Salottobuono he published “Manual of Decolonization” in 2010; a research study focusing on Palestinian territories. In 2012 he won the competition for the graphic identity of MACRO (Rome). Between 2011 and 2012, within Salottobuono, he was in charge of the creative direction of Domus magazine. He is currently a member of the editorial board of San Rocco Magazine, which he founded in 2010. He has been a tutor at Isia, Urbino, Unige, Genova and at IUAV Industrial Design University, Treviso.
